FreeBSD Some people already submitted this news last week, but it wasn't until today that it became official: the FreeBSD team has announced the release of FreeBSD version 9.0. As you may expect from the major version number change, this is releas eis packed with new stuff.

Wow. Take a chill pill before you have a brain hemorrhage. It really makes me wonder if all the effort I've put in at work to promote Linux has been for the good. It certainly would have been easier and more lucrative to go with the flow and support Windows instead.

If I took your brand of drivel seriously (which I don't) I'd probably just give in to the pressure and move my hundred users to Windows desktops running against 2008 Server and be done with it.

But I don't because I realize that the fanatics here on OSNews just don't matter in the real world. But watching the passion is absolutely fascinating.

Go forth and froth some more.
