Google Google is taking a new stab at selling devices directly: the Galaxy Nexus is now available in the Google Play devices section. That is, if you happen to live in the appropriate country - I can't see the page (as usual), so for all I know, they're selling fake Rolex watches in there.

Will Google sell this as a 4G phone ?

after all my friend boasts all day long about his iPhone being 4G .... because it says so on his screen

i tried to explain the speed differences

HSPA+ 42Mbps DL and 23 Mbps UL
WiMAX 75Mbps DL and 30Mbps UL
LTE 300Mbps DL and 75 Mbps UL
* all numbers are theoretical peak data rates

and explain the technical definition of 4G is 100 megabits per second (Mbit/s) for high mobility communication (such as from trains and cars) and 1 gigabit per second (Gbit/s) or 1000 megabits per second (Mbit/s) for low mobility communication (such as pedestrians and stationary users)

but Apple says it is 4G ,, soooo ,, it is 4G
and "it just works" . then he shrugs and smiles and says "my phone is better then your phone"

i am trying not to, but starting to, hate the uneducated iPhone users
