Google So yeah, Google totally just won the conference showdown by easily beating both Apple and Microsoft. Not only did Google announce Android 4.1 with some really cool new features, a cheap but non-crippled tablet, and a new Android device called the Nexus Q, but they also opened up pre-orders for Google Glass. So yeah.

I've been reading this site for a number of years almost every day. During its heyday it was at the top of my rss feeds and i read every update. Back then the articles were about things like kernel updates to the various BSDs and other alternate OS's.

A while back the format changed to focus more on the mobile OS wars. I agreed with this change actually as this is the new frontier of OS news. What I dont agree with is Thom using this "news" site as a platform for his incredibly biased reporting.

We get it dude. You hate apple. You love android. These personal preferences are yours but if you would like to see the continued growth of the site I would try to leave your emotions out of it and report the facts.

Totally trashing the iOS update while championing this minor android update that nobody will be able to run for months is some of the most biased reporting ive seen on this subject and i read almost all the news about it online.

Before you call me out as an apple fan trying to protect his turf i'll let you know I run a windows laptop and a palm webOS phone and don't plan on getting an iOS device. I made these choices on the merits of each device and not to partake in some kind of holy war.

BTW thom I know gruber really gets under your skin sometimes....probably because hes infinitely more witty and intelligent than you. bye.
