Well, there are a couple of projects going on which aim to replace the very old classic hardware with FPGAs and such, since the old hardware is slowly dying off. Then you've got some new accelerators, special little graphics cards and so on which give the A1200s a bit of a boost in their old age. Check out Individual Computers (Jens Schoenfeld) - he's a legend when it comes to creating new hardware for ancient systems!
