I would absolutely *LOVE*, and even PAY FOR, a modern-day RPG that included proper turn-based combat like the old AD&D/Forgotten Realms games. There's really no better way to handle combat for a party of 6 characters going up against dozens of enemies.
I hate the pseudo-realtime+pause that all the modern RPGs are moving toward.
Seems to me that touchscreen devices would be perfect for this style of game. Yet, no one has come out with one (that I can find, anyway).
