Legal Another patent fight is taking shape, this time between the two struggling smartphone makers RIM and Nokia. "Nokia has asked a California court to enforce an arbitration award that would prevent Research In Motion from selling products with wireless LAN capabilities until the companies can agree on patent royalty rates."

I'm not even talking about Microsoft here--I'm talking about the two dwindling and dying companies fighting in the courts instead of actually doing something productive for themselves and the public.

Of course, maybe Elop was sent in by Microsoft to destroy and dismantle the company, who knows, I'm not about to take the conspiracy theorists' side until it's proven without a doubt that such extreme assumptions are actually true.

Either way, one thing is for sure: Nokia is going down, and Elop will have one hell of a time getting a job at a similar company unless it's Microsoft (assuming the conspiracy theories are correct and are in fact the truth).
