Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu Mark Shuttleworth: "I simply have zero interest in the crowd who wants to be different. Leet. 'Linux is supposed to be hard so it's exclusive' is just the dumbest thing that a smart person could say." He's right. Lots of interesting insights in this blog post - I may not agree with everything Ubuntu does, but at least it's doing something.

"I simply have zero interest in the crowd who wants to be different. "

WTF are you on about, everyone wants to be different!

'Linux is supposed to be hard so it's exclusive' is just the dumbest thing that a smart person could say."

Nobody said it did! but there are creators of distributions who make the installation/configuration less user friendly & their forums less "hand holding" for obvious reasons:
1: to attract advanced users who in turn are more likely to give something back.
2: to force users to learn & think about what they are actually doing.

You chose a different point of view, fair play.

Now Mr Shuttleworth my question to you is are you going to continue slating others in the linux community or are you going to just get on with dealing with real issue's surrounding your own distribution ???
