Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu Mark Shuttleworth: "I simply have zero interest in the crowd who wants to be different. Leet. Lots of interesting insights in this blog post - I may not agree with everything Ubuntu does, but at least it's doing something.

A CLA (typically) doesn't.

So, the keyword here is "typically", cause I know that Qt gets the right to re-license your code, so both are in the same category.


I'd vote you up if I could - I didn't realize the Qt CLA was so broad (and it indeed is).

The difference that you retain the right to re-license your own code is still a huge difference between copyright assignment and (almost all) CLA's of course.
