Less than a year ago we were preparing to launch Windows 8, which introduced our vision of highly personalized mobile computing. In some ways, it is. I mean, it still gets new features, but some stuff they're afraid might confuse grandma gets ripped out. USB OTG support? Not anymore ;) It's the war on power users. Although as with most things, you can still hack it back in.


*nod* One of the reasons I've never used GNOME.

(It probably also contributes to my avoidance of Xfce but, since LXDE is comfortable and I'd need to install PCManFM anyway to get tabbed file browsing, why bother mixing in something heavier than I need?)
