Google back in 2005:

There will be no banner ads on the Google homepage or web search results pages.

Google today:

The company confirmed to the Guardian that it is testing a system with about 30 advertisers in the US in which it shows banner ads for companies including SouthWest Airlines on pages which include them in web search results.

And people wonder why I have zero trust in companies.

Agreed about decent basic living. That is why in my original comment I mentioned cheap electricity, water and food.

Some people say we should all work less hours, so more people have a job. I don't see that happening.

Instead what I see is more and more people being forced to be self-employed. These don't get to work less hours, maybe more hours.

While payment is staying the same, look at the buttom-left graph:

On the topic of skilled jobs.

You'll have to be more and more skilled, the simple repetitive tasks (maybe not jobs!) will be gone.

The Japanese are pushing hard for many tasks in nursing:
