Google back in 2005:

There will be no banner ads on the Google homepage or web search results pages.

Google today:

The company confirmed to the Guardian that it is testing a system with about 30 advertisers in the US in which it shows banner ads for companies including SouthWest Airlines on pages which include them in web search results.

And people wonder why I have zero trust in companies.

Education is, however, another problem. As it stands now, the education system is nothing but a legalized extortion machine at least in the US, propped up by ever more laws and ever higher costs for nothing of real value.

It's been suggested online education will eventually be better than in the classroom, because when someone in education realizes they can create one course for much, much more people it allows them to spend more money on the production of the course things will improve. Think: math 101, for million of students, would mean enough money for production of that course. The kind of money that gets spend for production of a Hollywood movie. This will help.

Is this the world you people want?

Who is you people ?
