I use Slackware, which means I predominately install from source but the other day I was pointed to a program that used autopackage, so I decided to try it again (previously (about a year ago) it balked and did nothing). It worked flawlessly this time.
This is good because not only does it make it easier for the enduser but also the software developers. Knowing that only one package is required.
