KDE KDE developer George Staikos recently announced that now KHTML uses a version of KJS that is nearly 100% in sync with Apple's JavaScriptCore. Other portions of KHTML will be shared with Apple's WebCore in the near future. This comes after a long and heated debate.

You can use konqueror with gmail just fine, just change your user agent for "mail.google" to read as firefox, then the first time you log in click "Standard View" or something at the top of the webpage. Not perfect view, but fully functional for me with kde 3.5
