Geeks.com sent us a special edition of the Toshiba e800 Pocket PC PDA. What's special about this new revision we review today is that it comes by default with a very high capacity battery and the ability to use USB devices through its "presentation pack" accessory, making it a product best suited for professionals, but also for geeks.

That's the US edition. The WiFi version of the PDA was only sold in US. The rest of the world only got Bluetooth.
> and the presentation pack has a VGA adapter built in.
Yes, this was indeed a bit strange. They included a second USB port (mini-usb this time) and they took out the VGA connector.
However, I am not sure if there is special software that is able to do graphics over USB and direct the output to a USB projector. If that's the case, then it's not a bad upgrade.
>The only drawback is that only certain apps work with the VGA output.
Have you upgraded to the Win2003SE as I instruct in the article? If you only used the Win2003 version that comes with the PDA and never upgraded, then no, you can't use anything else in VGA mode except the ClearVue applications. But if you upgrade to Win2k3SE, then you can use the Oz_VGA or SE_VGA utilities and in ONE click you will find yourself in the land of true VGA for all applications. If you do go to Win2k3SE but don't run these utilities, only Opera, ClearVue, TCPMP and few other apps would support the VGA resolution correctly, all the rest will think that they still run on QVGA.
