Conversations Is it just me or is there a growing anti-apple sentiment here at OSNews. Apple hasn't been so froendly with some things lately but nowadays, if anyone says nearly anything supporting apple, they are down are modded down and are ganged up on by multiple hostile flamers. I know this sounds whiny but its starting to piss me off. If you disagree, hate me, dont care about me or other SANE apple supporters (who are being generalized as "fanboys"), the go ahead, mod us down. But is it just me or is there a growing trend of disappointment and discontent about OSNews popularity contests?

I honestly have no clue what "backlash" you're talking about.

I haven't met a single Mac "convert" who hasn't become something of a raving Apple lunatic themselves. If anything each new generation of converts exhibits successively strengthened conviction, as Vista is almost universally thought to suck and Macs have become truly cool and elite.

Of course in today's market of sub-$500 PCs, one might suspect that the high price of Macs demands a certain rationalization of the purchase... ;)

Anyway, this backlash you're seeing on OSNews has everything to do with OS geeks--many being long-time Apple supporters--becoming disillusioned with an Apple that seems much less benevolent than they were thought to believe. I suspect it has very little to do with the rising wave of Apple/Mac converts, most of who haven't the slightest clue about App store acceptance policies.
