David Faure is a well known developer in the KDE & Linux community. His work can be found in KFM, Konqueror source code and he recently also picked up KOffice's KWord development. David is also one of the people who have commited in bug squashing under KDE, especially after he got hired by Mandrake Software. What I meant was more in the way of document conversion rather than media-type stuff. My comment was in response to the post earlier where someone said he loved KDE but the inability to save KWord files in an MS Word format kept him from using. The point is that once reliable convertors get written, I would like to see tham be accessible by all applications so the wheel doesn't get reinvented over and over again.
