I compiled the whole thing as described in the installation manual to /opt/fdo and the Xvesa server starts (but in some low-color mode ... !?). But every attempt to run the xcompmgr results in a segmentation fault (Xvesa doesn't crash, but xcompmgr just doesn't run.
After adding some printfs to the code, I found that the second call to XRenderCreatePicture in main() makes the segfault.
I'm running Fedora Core Test3 on a P4/2400MHz with a Radeon 9500.
