FreeBSD We've all heard the age old argument second only to the vi vs. emacs religious wars: FreeBSD Vs Linux. As a long time linux user, I decided that is was time I spent some time on the other side of the fence to see if it was any greener. Oh, and by the way, vi rules.

emerge --resume blahblah/foo

I used to do it the hard way (cd /var/tmp/portage/foo, cd word, cd foo, make)

Also handy: make a script called emergebeta in /usr/bin and put ACCEPT_KEYWORDS=~x86 emerge (and parameters, I just use $1 $2 etc but I'm sure there's a better way). You can easily emerge newer packages when you need them with

emergebeta foo
