A few weeks ago we published an article titled "The Great Mac OS X 10.4 Wish List", detailing a few personal wishes for the next version of OSX. Later I learned that quite a few Apple engineers read the article and so it felt good that the time spent writing the article was not just a voice in the void. A reader emailed me a few days ago asking me to do the same for other OSes and DEs. So here is my personal wish-list for a future version of Gnome. My two wishes.
1). That more people contribute to make the GNOME experience better. You see, it's open source for a reason.
2). Ximian, RH, SUN, IBM, Novell, SGI, HP and community work together to create a kick-a$$ development toolkit based on GTK+. No, not mono!!! It should be Unix-based and have no relationship to M$, Apple or other Proprietary related formats.
But man can dream, can't he? There's are reason there are called wishes.
