Ask yourself, how big is the market for .NET developers on non-Windows platfroms and remember that TrollTech is a company and wants to be profitable.
Yes, and that's a problem when many of the core developers for an open source project are working at the company that sells the same project commercially. The question that should be asked is: "would this be useful to developers and would it help other open source projects". The question that's being asked is: "if we do this, can we make more money".
