The voice, the man, the... machine. That's George Hoffman for you. According to people who have worked with him (including my husband) he is one of the brightest Be, Inc. engineers ever. These days, George works at PalmSource, Inc. as the Director of Applications and Services. In his free time he sings with an (a cappella) vocal band of 4, Hookslide (check out their .wmv promo video clip)! In this interview we talk about PalmOS 6, aka Cobalt. As no one mentions anything conclusive about the filesystem, I asume there is not proper filesystem support yet.
The lack of proper filesystem support along with the odd memory handling in pre Cobalt machines were the biggest quirks in the platform.
If the Pocket PC had a decent UI and fair resource usage, the Palm platform would have died long ago because of its own demise.
Which is something I will really hate if it finaly happens.
So please, add a decent filesystem!
