Open standards.

"Since the OSS world is always crying about standards, I say when it comes to package management, either shit or get off the pot."

_Open_ standard, Worknman. _OPEN_ standard. And you forgot to state arguments from those of your opponents.

APT is an open standard. RPM is an open standard. Ports collection [including Emerge] is an open standard. Alien is a program to convert a package using one of these *you guessed it* open standards to another.

Now, where do this OSS world of yours argument against competition? Don't you think that if that were true, there would never been something like Emacs given Vi already existed?
