All this talk about vsync, and I still don't understand exactly what it is.
From what I read here, it seems mean that the screen is only redrawn during the vertical synchronization of the monitor (i.e. while the electron beam is going back from the bottom to the top of the screen). If that is correct, isn't that the same as double buffering + page flipping in DirectX or OpenGL?
