My physics teacher likes to say that physics like to make problems they face look like ones that they know how to solve. A simple harmonic oscillation was one he frequently used in class, as is presumably the case in physics in general.

Why was this posted to the front of OSNews? This kind of ignorant editorial being prominently displayed simply lessens the credibility of OSNews as a legitimate technical news source.
It boldly touches on so many areas, essentially calling them all bunk, and not even attempting to give any justification other than the implied "I think".
Hopefully the editorial staff at OSNews can avoid this in the future, or at least relegate it to a forum-type section.
