My physics teacher likes to say that physics like to make problems they face look like ones that they know how to solve. A simple harmonic oscillation was one he frequently used in class, as is presumably the case in physics in general.

I wish that the OSNews staff would change their attitude about spelling and grammar. These things are IMPORTANT. Having proper spelling and grammar helps to establish credibility and makes the text clear and understandable to the reader.
Of course, I don't blame authors for poor English. That's excusable if English is not their first language. There are plenty of languages I don't speak. But, for the reasons mentioned above, articles should be proofread and corrected before they are posted.
