I have been an Illustrator user for years, and while Inkscape isn't there yet, it's gonna be.
There are certain aspects of object control that I think are far better in Inkscape than Illustrator. The rounded corner control for rectangles is a perfect example.
The one boolean operation that Inkscape needs that it doesn't have(yet) is the Division tool in Illustrator. Say, if you have two overlapping objects, they are then split into three separate objects...super useful.
I use Inkscape every day now, and I must say that I am totally impressed by it constantly.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
