here's where i go slightly off-topic...
Michiel, no, you are not the only one who prefers Sodipodi's interface.
[rant style="polemic"]
I just can't understand this pervasive and morbid love of parent-child windows and horizontal menus. The various window managers and apps that follow this UI model had the chance to create something more productive but they BLEW IT. What could be more CONVENIENT and USER-FRIENDLY than having your menu UNDER YOUR MOUSE, wherever it may be at the moment? Even better than the Mac's constant menubar (and I'm primarily a Mac user)! It's like when i hear people complain about the GIMP's (pre-2.x) interface: "there's no horizontal menu in the window! I'm confused." Obviously, a question of UI "familiarity" and NOT of "improvement" (not that the model Sodipodi uses is something new either).

...Thank you. Back to our regularly scheduled program...
