I'm looking forward to Perl 6, and also IR compability between Python and Parrot. I'd much rather see development in this direction than Java/.Net/Mono. Yet, I also see the possiblity that Mono and Perl 6 and Python can find some level of compatibility. At any rate, Perl 6 is a major achievement, perhaps one of the greatest for open source, but we'll see for sure how it all turns out some time next year.
