ELX(Everyone's Linux), is a Linux focused company based in India. ELX's first product, ELX Power Desktop, received very good reviews during its early stages but for the past several months, the product has been very quiet.

The FOSS movement is a good idea, but it is also a bit open to exploitation by companies who seek to build communities around their particular distributions, or to put it more blindly, get a bunch of developers developing their distribution for free and then selling it back to them to make money.
Frankly I find this attitude far more annoying than the proprietary OS companies that pay for developement and then ask the consumer to pay for their expense plus some profit.
Long live FOSS, but here's hoping it evolves in a direction better than the model I described in the first paragraph...
