CeBIT: The word in Hannover is that some German government agencies have switched their allegiance away from SuSE Linux, because following Novell's takeover it is no longer a German company.

I don't believe this. Only quite recently, I remember that there was some drive in the USA to remove all references to France, ie. Changing French Fries to Freedom Fries. WTH ?!?!! Anyway, opinions defer as to where the French Fry was invented ; could be in Belgium or France.
