I decided to write this review to provide a quick inside to the new Linspire 5.0 released on March 15th, 2005. The review will determine the use of Linspire 5.0 in a SOHO (Small Office Home Office) Environment. The download was free for me since I'm a current CNR subscriber. UPDATE: Another Linspire review, and the Linspire 5.0 Live CD is now available for free download.

I cant go to those links because it appears I am banned....
I didnt receive the written offer in my retail box and I did not receive a source code cd. When I asked for one I was told that they only provide a ftp site for the source! I was also told this exact thing when I asked over a year ago! I have a screenshot of my support ticket and it shows the linspire support person response and it was that linspire does not offer a cd of source only a ftp site! You better think twice about who is lying to who? I have sent the screenshot to eugenia maybe she will make a statement as to what it says!
SO linspire DOES violate the GPL by not including a source cd, they also do NOT supply the written offer! And if you ask they tell you it isnt available!
