Yeah, I might be just re-inventing the wheel here, who knows? But I had this (original? I doubt it) idea a few months ago and I was meant to write about it for some time now. So, my idea is about creating a new operating system that is like none of the current ones. It would be so different, that porting applications from other "traditional" systems wouldn't be possible. But the gains would be much more important of what we would lose by implementing a brand new new system.

It's a good idea in theory, but it would take a lot of work and time to implement, before people even consider it.
It sounds like it would be great for editing existing files, but for creation of new files it might not be as effective as the traditional application way of doing things.
I really like the idea of downloading just what you want, pretty much instantly. If it ever got advanced enough, I might consider it, but in the mean time, it could be difficult to adopt, and would take a long time to develop enough apps, or modules, for it to be completely functional (and usable)
Good idea, but i think the current method of computing has too much of a stranglehold for it to work.
