OSNews, Generic OSes Yeah, I might be just re-inventing the wheel here, who knows? But I had this (original? I doubt it) idea a few months ago and I was meant to write about it for some time now. So, my idea is about creating a new operating system that is like none of the current ones. It would be so different, that porting applications from other "traditional" systems wouldn't be possible. But the gains would be much more important of what we would lose by implementing a brand new new system.

>1.Who in their right mind would help you eliminate the nead for app programmers??

You are wrong. They are not going to be eliminated _at all_. It is just that creating normal operations would be easier and faster to be implemented, so their role will be somewhat different.

>#2. this sounds like a god awful un userfriendly OS

Could be, I don't know. There is nothing to compare right now.

>3. Get with the program, linux is the way to go.

I could mod down your whole comment just for this trolled sentence. You get with the program, OSNews is not OS-specific-centric. Open your mind and accept new ideas, or go and read only gnu.org.
The title of OSNews under the logo is "Exploring the Future of Computing" and not "Exploring the Future of Linux".
