Nowadays, all you hear about is Windows, MacOS X, or GNU/Linux. However, what ever happened to the good old BeOS?

I know a lot of people said the same thing about other projects, but I can't wonder why all the three projects don't merge into one and split the tasks between them... I'm quite sure all three have different ideas of how to make it, but the final product would be the same, don't it?
