However it isn't nearly as complete as BeOS. He didn't do the kernel from scratch, the file system from scratch, the GUI from scratch, etc. And I'll bet you that Syllable is not nearly as complete as BeOS R5.
syllable is based on atheos, and unless im mistaken, atheos's core was a one man show.
