Linux Yes, we all know the "big three" (Red Hat, Mandrake, SuSE) commercial distros, we also know the next big bunch of respected traditional/geek distros (Debian and Slackware and some might add Gentoo too in this list), and we know the "other big three" in the desktop Linux area (Lindows, Xandros, Lycoris). However, not everyone knows what is available besides this "threshold". Here is a list of Linux distros that worth knowing about and to keep an eye on!

more plugs

I would add College Linux to that list - a small Slackware-based distro just released their second version built on some very recent stuff, including KDE3.1.1
I'd also like to plug Libranet, for my money the best distro out there, period. It has all advantages of Debian with most problems that stop people from going with Debian removed: installation and configuration are dead easy, and the software versions right up to date. In fact Libranet 2.8 currently in second beta stage is compiled with gcc 3.2 - way ahead of other Debian-based distros.
And I would remove Yoper from this list. They don't need us - fine, we certainly don't need them. They added nothing to the overall development of Linux and any dozen of others will do exactly the same things Yoper claims, without the attitude, and for a fraction of their price.
