If you want to have a proper server with CentOS, one easy way is to use SME server : http://contribs.org/modules/news/
Why would you want to use something as old and outdated as that? Its based on RH 7.3. That means no support for most modern hardware.
The latest one is based on CentOS 4.2 (not really outdated…)
I know it is still labelled as release candidate, but it is really stable and quite bug-free.
Totally rocks, actually smoother more complete install on a linux hating dell latitude C640 laptop than debian etch. Very, very stable and sweet, kudos for a nice job to the centos team.
