Roughlydrafted has some good editorials on the mac scene. They recently ran a Zune review which is a good read even if some points may be debatable http://www.roughlydrafted.com/RD/Home/9F60D74A-0E27-4F5F-B88D-83597... and other good stories.

Agreed.

There are still lots of MSFT groupies out there with a financial stake that are looking to Zune to pull MSFT out its tailspin to irrelevancy. Certainly, Vista, Xbox, and IE7 look like money down the toilet.

IE7 already has more market share than Linux. It getting great reviews (way better than Firefox 2.0) and it will be on millions more PC's by Christmas.

Vista will be on 150 million PC's by the end of next year.

Money in the bank.

Market share does not a secure and stable platform make.

True ... I think Firefox has proven that if you claim you are secure, and then claim the "many eyes" will find the security holes it will turn out some of those eyes are hackers. Thats why Firefox has 64 security holes this year alone.

I wonder though ... if Linux's market share is a tiny miniscule .4% how come there are over 100 security holes in the linux kernel?

How many would there be if they got to 10%? 10,000?
