Yes, very exciting

>for those of you that have never had the joy of using !paint

Dont forget !draw

Just to make that a little clearer, if a folder has a pling infront of its name it is indicating that it is an application directory instead of a standard folder.

A 'pling'? That's the first time i've heard an exclamation mark referred to as that.

yes, i rember the first time i heard the word pling.. i think it's a great word for a !

anyway, yes, !draw, these mac and pc adobe lovers could learn alot from draw, and artworks ( xarax on the doze ) draw is like how getting things done should be, like paint it is a little short of features, but that is again what makes it great.

any mac monkey who uses draw for a while will be like me when (if) they go bac to thier mac tastic programs.. just like.. what the fonze.. why, why why does it have to be like this. clunky unituitive crazy tape and string interfaces, pointless endless over engineering, if you are actually good at computer design you dont really need the filters special effects etc.

More correctly, how long before the assembly bits are re-written in C and someone ports it to another architecture?

yeah i used to call it a pling during my risc os days, but now i know better ;-)

# = sharp
! = bang

sharp+bang = shebang, as in shell scripts: #!/bin/sh

anyway, its a shame that its only the applications and a few modules so far that have been released, not the kernel, or enough to actually build risc os 5.

it looks like castle want ro5's !paint and !draw to be updated to select's featureset by someone for free.

anyone know what version of !browse has been "opensourced" as i remember having a copy of !phoenix, which was !browse 2.09 (or something higher than 2.07 that us clan folk got) with javascript and stuff.
