Wouldn't Audacity be a bit better-suited than GarageBand for creating a podcast? There's an OS X version last I checked, and it would probably be less resource-intensive than GB.

One thing that the software industry sometimes doesn't seem to "get", is that there is such a thing as "good enough". Microsoft and other commercial vendors *need* to sell you something newer and supposedly better. FOSS authors think that their new work is just so cool that everyone will just *have* to have it.

We're past "Second System Syndrome" and well into 3rd, 4th, and 5th System Syndrome. Microsoft, ahead of this curve, as usual, is offering 7th System Syndrome at a "discount".Edited 2009-06-29 18:10 UTC

I've read a post on Amigaworld from a member of Hyperion (makers of Amiga OS4.1) where they say the've abandoned the Mac Mini project, although intrestingly the Mac MIni is mentioned on the MorphOS (Amiga type OS) faq page http://www.morphos.de/faq.html as a possible future hardware candidate.
