When we do an interview, we like to keep them to 10-12 questions or so, with some questions about the subject's main area of expertise mixed in with a few off-the-wall ones that help us get a sense of that person's personality. People who are in the process of launching some kind of new initiative are the ones that are the most eager to be interviewed, and obviously someone who's working on a hot project is generally going to make for a more newsworthy interview. Keep in mind that as interesting as an interview with a well-known person might be, sometimes it's even more interesting to talk to someone who's virtually unknown but is a driving force behind a very interesting piece of technology, so I'd appreciate readers giving us the heads-up on people like that.
