Submitted by The free open-source disk encryption software Truecrypt reached version 7.0. Among the new features are hardware-accelerated AES, support for devices that use sector sizes other than 512 bytes, ability to configure a volume to be automatically mounted whenever its host device gets connected to the computer, favorites organizer, and more. Downloads for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X are available here.

The upgrade took me under 2 minutes on Windows 7.
It works perfectly after a reboot.
All software should work this well.
Note: I’m running full-disk AES encryption of a 160GB boot volume on 32-bit Windows 7 with 3GB RAM on my work Thinkpad T61 (2.4 Ghz Core 2 Duo chip).

Are the VIA C7 and Nano processors concerned ? Found nothing about it in http://www.truecrypt.org/docs/hardware-acceleration :/
