Fix for Mixed Controllers?

I'd REALLY REALLY like to run PC-BSD 9. I couldn't get version 8.x to work because my pc has mixed controllers and there was apparently a bug that prevented the product from booting in this scenario. I sure hope they fixed that in version 9.

Will have to wait for the Release Notes

Ivan's recollection is good but far from complete. The main updates that are attractive for me are:

- The new ZFS v28: actually the last that SUN/oracle made available under the previous community model.
- The gcc (4.2.2-pre) and binutils(2.17.5o) updates: the last toolchain version available under the GPLv2.

There's also a new BSD-licensed ext2fs implementation, but a complete summary will only be available with the Release notes when 9.0 is released.

The ZFS v28 is actually listed under Other changes: ZFS updated to version 28 (pjd)
