Anyone with multiple monitors on Linux knows it can be a hassle to get the configuration right, and the combination of window managers, desktop environments, and compositing technologies means if you're not lucky you can get dragged into a rat's nest of configuration challenges. Dan Vratil and Alex Fiestas have decided to do something about it and their new technology looks pretty sweet. Alex writes they hope their project will "solve most of the issues that we currently have on the desktop, making the configuration of monitors either auto-magical or super simple". Sounds good to me.
