I see interesting times ahead for all of the open source *NIX variants. If they don’t dominate the market, at the very least they will stay relivant.

That is cool, that means that Oracle could easily be ported to *BSD as well. Oracle is providing a product that gives you real choice. The choice to run UNIX, Linux, Windows, and now OSX if you want. It just shows that businesses can adapt to give you the same kind of choices that open source can.

you are talking as if they are opposite of each other. redhat is doing open source business. so i dont understand your point
