I guess no one really uses this thing except when there's a live event or something.

This isn't terrible...I just don't like scrolling to the bottom and reading up in order to see the topic of conversation...

Wow... this doesn't seem to have lasted long.

For so little words, a message takes up a LOT of room!

WHY both? Do you think there is a need?

Adam S posted by Adam S on 09/08/2007 6:40 pm UTC

Why not both, Adam?

Seems slow atm, pick up the pace people. Work is boring me to tears today!

posted by Junglist on 09/07/2007 6:01 pm UTC

We *could* do IRC, but lots of people access us from work where their only option is plain old HTTP and they can't install software on their computer. That makes this a much better option.

Not that I know of. Isn't IRC only used to control peoples windows box botnets these days? :)

posted by Kabal on 09/07/2007 6:51 am UTC

Is there even anything today that can compete with IRC when it comes to a "chat" for lots of people?

posted by Marcellus on 09/07/2007 6:16 am UTC

Sure irc rocks

posted by !dev!null on 09/07/2007 5:38 am UTC

Do normal people still use IRC?

posted by nobody on 09/07/2007 3:43 am UTC

I do agree

I could see the usefulness of this feature. chatter doesn't need to fall under a post, and we can be ess concerned about being on-topic... might be a spam magnet though.

posted by daddio on 09/06/2007 4:01 pm UTC

I think i prefer the main comments section, not many messages but ive already lost the topic reading through....
