Amiga & AROS "A prerelease of X-Windows version X11R6.3 for OS4 is now available on OS4-depot. It is a complete unix-like environment, which is meant as a base for ports from the linux-world." It includes X11R6.3 and various other components.

So one can compare between native and hosted? So that Linux part can be amigatized? Because you can?

A ported program isn't 'hosted'. The opposite of native here is merely 'non-native', and by native the only thing that's meant is using native widgets and API.

X-Windows is ported, other programs are hosted within this envirnoment.

I wasn't refering to the opposite, but usually you have
a) native
b) emulated
c) hosted
each one has is advantages and drawbacks, but all do the same (or try to), to run a program in a given API, altought at different speeds...
