X-Windows is ported, other programs are hosted within this envirnoment.

I wasn't refering to the opposite, but usually you have
a) native
b) emulated
c) hosted
each one has is advantages and drawbacks, but all do the same (or try to), to run a program in a given API, altought at different speeds...

So one can compare between native and hosted? So that Linux part can be amigatized? Because you can?
