Ack. Kubuntu is and becomes more a heavy modified distribution of KDE. Because of the customizations (and I don't talk about shipping only a subset of KDE release) you cannot argue about (vanilla) KDE. It also includes, at least in Breezy, much experimental stuff (alternate control center, Katapult, ...).
