SkyOS The SkyOS team has released a long-awaited update to its operating system. This new update brings full desktop compositing, various toolchain updates (everything is now compiled with GCC 4.1.1), new versions of various applications, 440 fixed bugs, and much more.

How is this OS developed?

By one monster-coder who probably sold someone's soul in exchange for the gift of programming non-stop. I don't know how he supports himself, but the paid beta's cover a bit. There's also some extra coders/site-maintainers helping out. I presume they don't get paid a lot, based on SkyOS' income.

Robert the main coder has a Full Time job as well as working on SkyOS, this is how he support's himself.

The other coders work for free.

The money raised by Beta purchases is used for Hardware and Server maintenance.
