Internet & Networking The KDE team announced a new project to re-synchronize our HTML engine, KHTML, with the WebKit engine. Code named Unity, the project has so far focused on porting the WebKit engine to Qt 4 with minimal changes to the existing code-base. WebKit is a derivative of the KHTML engine by Apple.

You suggest that it is an Apple-only thingie. And that's not the case.

But don't bother. I don't want to get into a fight about this ;-)

It is very clear on the story that says that Webkit is a DERAVITIVE of khtml. And it was developed by Apple. Nokia came into play much later. I have even written an exclusive article on that, on December.

I'll clear this misunderstanding up. Compare:

I) WebKit is a derivative of the KHTML engine_by Apple.
II) WebKit is a derivative_by Apple of the KHTML engine.

There you go.
